Tom most recently was Senior Vice President of Investor Relations at Time Warner Cable. In that capacity, he led a team that managed all aspects of the company’s relationship with the investment community, and he became a key strategic advisor to its senior management and board. Over a ten-year span, he wrote forty consecutive earnings releases and quarterly conference call scripts; and he navigated an IPO, a spinoff from former parent Time Warner Inc., a reverse split, an $11 billion special dividend, several activist campaigns, a hostile takeover attempt andthe eventual sale of the company to Charter Communications.
Prior to joining Time Warner Cable, Tom led the investor relations program at Scientific-Atlanta, a telecommunications technology supplier. Over a period of six years, he led a team that repositioned the company as unique resource to the cable industry, culminating in its sale to Cisco Systems in 2006.
Tom came to the investor relations profession after a broad career in general management, product development, information technology, manufacturing consulting, marketing and engineering. He holds engineering degrees from Duke and Stanford.
